We live in a world of oversupply and a flood of articles of all kinds — everything wants our attention and we don‘t know where we should look first ... And we ourselves? We join. We produce data and present them on the internet. We leave traces, wanted and unwanted. Information has become a product which is collected, stored, sold. We have become accustomed that cameras follow us, our mails are read and it is recorded at every moment where we are. In this workshop, we will search for strategies of withdrawal, of omission, camouflage, hide and seek. We will ask for possibilities of invisibility in a world where everything seems transparent. We will look for translations of strategies of the invisible in the fields of art and design. How can we as individual social actors give the invisible a form?
The workshop Strategies of the Invisible is about to develop an own focus on the subject. This will become implemented freely in through suitable forms and media — from posters to interventions in urban space. The instructors will provide participants with strategies for the process of brainstorming and to show them ways to develop and achieve a consistent content-form-relationship in their artistic work.
The workshop starts on Friday 19.6. at 16:00 and ends on Sunday 21.9. at 16:00.
