CLAUS is the first project presented by Slowtech Factory. Starting with questions like, how do we deal with a world full of constantly changing and new information? What remains after closing the browser? How do we share? How can we preserve our knowledge outside the internet? And what happens when obsolete technology meets new media? By entering an URL the participants give life to the machine, which then starts printing pictures and meta-data of the entered websites on three dot-matrix printers. Participants are asked to take printed copies of the continuous copy paper from the machine and share them with others so that the information is widely spread outside the digital world.
