Graphic Design Walks is a project presenting various aspects of graphic design in the form of guided walks and excursions in Brno. The project will involve a walk with Věra Marešová, designer of the visual style of the City of Brno, together with Rostislav Koryčánek, and a walk with Jana Kořínková centred on the work of graphic designer Jan Rajlich Sr. There will also be an interactive walk on the subject of street art and its parallels in graphic design. The walk will be led by graphic design student Yveta Buchtová and art theorist Šárka Burešová. Guests will include Vasil Artamonov and Dominik Forman, and the walk will feature a contribution from Brno street artist Timo. Graphic Design Walks will also comprise visits to the Pixl-e graphic studio, Helbich printing office and B4U publishers.
Each walk or excursion will last 60–90 minutes, and the participants will have enough time for questions and a discussion. Information with dates and times of the individual walks is available at Graphic Design Walks website and Facebook.
This event is a part of the OFF Program – open space devoted to workshops, interventions, and other presentations and activities related to graphic design. The authors are solely responsible for the nature of this event. The program is subject to change.
